The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) announced the detention of members of a group that was taking evaders from the army to the territory of the Russian Federation.
Departure of men aged 18-60 from Ukraine for the period of martial law is prohibited. Martial law and general mobilization in November were extended until February 19, 2023.
The message of the telegram channel of the Security Service of Ukraine states that “the SBU neutralized a criminal group that offered evaders to leave for Russia.”
According to the information, the detained intruders took out those who wanted through the Zaporozhye region to the Crimea for a fee. Further, the evaders were transported to the Rostov region. The investigation suggests that the alternative route ran through the Sumy region, which borders the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions of Russia.
There are six suspects in this case.
