The death of the star of the “Crooked Mirror” Alexander Ponomarenko shocked the humorous world. Everyone knew that the actor had been fighting an incurable disease for more than a year – stomach cancer. But they were sure that he would cope with the disease.
Ponomarenko underwent 16 courses of chemotherapy. During his illness, he lost twenty kilograms. His colleague, comedian Alexander Morozov, admitted to MK: Ponomarenko hoped to the last that he could win.
“Alexander was such a person that he never complained about illness,” says Morozov. He didn’t want to talk about it at all. But he was persuaded to tell the public. We talked with him constantly, only recently called up. Nothing foreshadowed his departure.
“He hoped to the end and believed that he could defeat the disease,” Morozov continues. – Until the last days did not fall into despondency. He was a lifelong fighter. Believed in God. And he really hoped that he would help him.
– There was a terrible tragedy, – Morozov sighs. – Sasha was a bright, joyful person who knew how to make friends and love. Feel the music incredibly. Man of genius! Their duet has never been likened to fashion. And I’ve never seen them deal with vulgarity.
