The village of Arkhangelskoye, Belgorod Region, came under fire on May 20, an unexploded shell hit a residential building, it was neutralized by sappers, said the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov.

“The sappers neutralized an unexploded shell that hit a private residential household in the village of Arkhangelskoye, Shebekinsky District,” – wrote Gladkov in his Telegram channel.

According to him, employees of an agricultural enterprise found another shell from the Ukrainian Uragan rocket during spring field work in a field near the village of Shamino. The sappers decided to neutralize it on the spot, residents of nearby houses are resettled for a while at a safe distance, the governor said.

Today, the Belgorod region came under fire twice: in the morning, the village of Murom, Shebekinsky urban district, was attacked by Ukraine, then Arkhangelsk was fired upon, when an unexploded shell was found. According to Gladkov, there were no casualties as a result of the shelling, while the roof of a warehouse of an agricultural enterprise was broken in Murom, and a power line was also damaged.

The Belgorod region has a “yellow” level of terrorist threat. In addition, since October 19, 2022, the region has also introduced a medium response mode. In addition to the Belgorod region, such a regime has been established in seven other regions – Crimea, Krasnodar Territory, Sevastopol, Kursk, Voronezh, Bryansk and Rostov regions.
