Samsung won’t change Google search to Bing in its smartphones – Kommersant

Samsung began to think about replacing Google search with Bing in light of the latter’s success in the field of artificial intelligence. It also may not have been comfortable with Google paying Apple $8 billion to $12 billion to use its default search, and about $3 billion for Samsung. Samsung sees its reliance on Google as a problem, and switching to Bing would help eliminate that.

However, Google has since spent several presentations where she presented some of her products in the field of artificial intelligence, including the announcement of the integration of the Bard chatbot into search results. Samsung did not want to risk business relations with Google: almost all Samsung smartphones are installed with Google’s Android operating system, and the South Korean company itself supplies Google with memory chips and is the manufacturer of some of Google’s processors.
