Samsung bans employees from using ChatGPT
[ad_1]
The reason for this decision was the leak of the internal source code. It turned out that in April, employees “accidentally” uploaded the code to ChatGPT. What kind of zhanny in question is not specified.
Samsung is concerned that the data that is uploaded to such systems is stored on external servers. Because of this, information can be found by other users, while it is difficult to remove “merged” data.
Under the new rules, employees are prohibited from using generative AI systems on computers, tablets, phones and any other devices owned by Samsung. The ban does not apply to employees’ personal devices, but they are prohibited from uploading any information related to the company and its intellectual property to ChatGPT. Violation of the new policy will result in dismissal.
Against the backdrop of the popularity of ChatGPT, a number of large companies, researchers and businessmen have expressed concern about the technology. At the end of March, the Future of Life Institute published a letter calling for an “immediate suspension” of AI systems training. The petition was signed by Musk, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, philanthropist Andrew Yang and about a thousand other researchers.
