Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Kuban Sergey Nosov organized sambo master classes for Kuban schoolchildren. The training for the teenagers was conducted by Yury Batman, master of sports of Russia in sambo.
Sports events took place in secondary school No. 7 of Tikhoretsk, as well as in the sports school “Leader” of the Arkhangelsk village of Tikhoretsk municipality. At the master class, the children learned new sambo and judo techniques. Batman taught schoolchildren how to fall forward and backward correctly, and also explained that the basis of sambo is not an attack at all, but self-defense.
Sergei Nosov, in turn, recalled that SAMBO is not only a sport, but also a whole system of education that develops moral and volitional qualities, patriotism and citizenship.
“Sambo teaches self-defence, gives a rich life experience, forms a strong character, stamina and endurance. This sport educates people who are able to stand up for themselves, for their families, for their homeland,” the parliamentarian explained.
More than four thousand residents practice sambo in the Tikhoretsky district. 18 educational institutions of the municipality have joined the “Sambo to School” project.
