Sales of Russian ice cream have increased in China after Russian President Vladimir Putin treated Chinese President Xi Jinping to this delicacy. The Russian leader himself spoke about this on Tuesday, March 5.

During a working trip to the Stavropol region, the head of state talked with Russian farmers. A representative of an ice cream company said that the Chinese population is showing great interest in this product.

Vladimir Putin recalled that “he treated his friend, Chairman Xi Jinping, to our ice cream,” after which in China, “in my opinion, even sales of our ice cream increased.”

In the summer of 2023, the head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, congratulated the Lugansk cold storage plant on winning the all-Russian brand competition of the forum “Strong Ideas for New Times.” Russian President Vladimir Putin, having familiarized himself with the plant’s products at the forum, gave her high marks.

The United States is also showing interest in Russian ice cream. Before the Russian special operation in Ukraine, in 2021, the Americans increased imports of cold delicacies by 13%and in monetary terms – 1.6 times.
