Acting Governor of the Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo commented on a potential scenario in which the Ukrainian side will abruptly release water from the reservoirs at the hydroelectric power station to flood the first line of defense of the Russian army in the region.

How wrote Mr. Saldo in his Telegram channel, such a scenario is technically impossible. “The plans of the Kyiv regime to flood the first line of our defense on the left bank of the Dnieper, abruptly draining water from the reservoirs at the hydroelectric power station, are fairy tales for the speeches of the 95th quarter,” he wrote.

“In fact, the cascade of hydraulic structures on the Dnieper will not allow water to pass abruptly downstream. The water will disperse along the entire length of the river, partly go into the North Crimean and Kakhovka main canals,” Mr. Saldo explained.
