Saldo announced Kyiv’s preparation for an information provocation in Kherson

Kyiv is preparing an information provocation in Kherson, said the acting governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo.

“It looks like the Kiev regime is preparing an information provocation in Kherson. Film crews from German and Spanish television arrived in the city,” wrote he is on his Telegram channel.

Saldo believes that they plan to film “staged propaganda materials about the torture of civilians” and will work under the control of the Ukrainian military. The head of the region said that the Western public no longer accepts their fakes. He warned people remaining in Kherson to be careful, as “murderous directors are walking the streets.”

Russian authorities regularly announce that Kiev is preparing provocations, including informational ones. In July, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova named a provocative strike by a Ukrainian drone on the city of Kurchatov, where the nuclear power plant is located. According to Zakharova, the station was the target of Kyiv. In February, the Russian Ministry of Defense warnedthat Ukraine plans to accuse Russia of contaminating territories near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

The Kherson region became part of Russia on September 30, 2022, along with other regions – the DPR, LPR and Zaporozhye region. Since October 19, martial law has been introduced in the regions. On November 11, 2022, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the completion of the withdrawal of troops from Kherson, and the city again came under Ukrainian control.
