Pupils of the Nevelsk sports school and the Greco-Roman wrestling school in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk won four championship belts and nine medals in the mass children’s freestyle wrestling tournament “FESCO Cup”. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Sakhalin Region.
About 350 schoolchildren from the regions of the Far East and Siberia took part in the competitions held in Vladivostok.
“We have three winners in the senior age group. These are Sunnatullo Odilov (weight category up to 35 kg), Stanislav Politiko (up to 58 kg), Nurullo Lutfulloev (up to 78 kg). Gasan Fakhritdinov (up to 54 kg) won the silver medal, Denis Bondarenko (up to 62 kg) and Artem Sereerdar (up to 68 kg) took the bronze medal,” senior coach of the Sakhalin region team Alexander Vaulin shared the results.
The winner in the younger age group weighing up to 52 kilograms was Alexander Dzekh. Bronze medals were won by Ibragim Ibragimov (up to 27 kg) and Abdulaziz Khamitov. In addition to awards, the best athletes were given valuable gifts.
