Sakhalin snowboarders won 12 medals at major all-Russian competitions

Sakhalin residents Polina Novakovskaya, Vsevolod Shcheglov and Vladimir Igushkin won 12 medals at the Russian Championship in Sports for Persons with Musculoskeletal Disabilities (snowboarding), as well as the Winter Paralympic Games in Miass. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Sakhalin Region.

The islanders competed in the snowboard cross and banquet slalom disciplines. As a result of the competition, Polina Novakovskaya was awarded four gold medals, Vsevolod Shcheglov two gold and two bronze, and Vladimir Igushkin three silver and one bronze.

In the future, the athletes have plans to successfully perform at the finals of the Russian Snowboard Cup among persons with ASD.
