Sakhalin Elena Kostenko took second place in the Russian Snowboard Cup. The regional Ministry of Sports spoke about this.
The competition took place in Novosibirsk. The strongest Russian riders performed in the half-pipe discipline on the slope of the Gorsky SPFC, competing for both the rating and the cash prize.
“Based on the results of the tournament finals, the winners and prize-winners of the stage are awarded. After which the points for the stage and the entire tournament are calculated. The award consists of two parts: based on the results of the Russian Cup final and the results of the overall standings,” noted the organizers of the competition.
The prize fund was 300 thousand rubles for first place, 200 thousand for second, 100 thousand for third. As a result, among women, international master of sports Elena Kostenko from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk became second. Initially, she claimed bronze, but was able to snatch victory in the final.
