Sakhalin paraathletes successfully performed at the All-Russian competitions

Sakhalin athletes Andrey Semikras and Yegor Strikun won silver and bronze medals at the Russian Athletics Championship among people with musculoskeletal disorders. The competitions were held in Cheboksary and brought together about 350 athletes from 50 regions of Russia and the Republic of Belarus, the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports reported.
Island athletes Elena Sibileva, Yegor Strikun, Mikhail Cheremisin, Andrey Semikras and Mikhail Tutenko competed in the javelin, discus, shot put, and Dmitry Stovba in the 200m.
Andrey Semikras brought the silver medal to the Sakhalin team. He competed in the discus throw and showed a result of 24.86 meters.
Egor Strikun fought for a medal in the shot put. He sent a projectile to 8.22 meters, which brought the Sakhalin bronze of the competition.
In addition, Mikhail Cheremisin, Yegor Strikun, Andrey Semikras, who competed in the discus throw, as well as Mikhail Tutenko, who competed in the javelin throw, exceeded the standard of an international master of sports with their results.
Athletes are athletes of the sports training center of the Sakhalin Region.
