Sakhalin hosted IronSakh Vol.6 triathlon competitions

More than 200 athletes took part in triathlon competitions on Athlete’s Day in Sakhalin. Athletes from Moscow, Moscow, Leningrad, Murmansk, Amur, Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk and Sakhalin regions, as well as from Krasnoyarsk, Primorsky and Khabarovsk territories competed in running, swimming and cycling. Details were told in the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Sakhalin Region.
Triathlon competitions were organized on the territory of the Lesnoye Ozero sanatorium.
“Triathlon is a unique direction where a person can test himself in different sports. Without a doubt, each of you can be called an iron man. You overcome great distances and successfully cope with it. Always remain the same strong, healthy and self-confident people,” Artem Podshivalov, the head of the island’s Ministry of Sports, addressed the participants.
The IronSakh triathlon has been held in the Sakhalin Region since 2016. For the first time, 73 athletes entered the start, and a year later, 176 participants crossed the finish line.
Formerly MK on Sakhalin toldthat 180 schoolchildren became participants in the first session of the Avangard center on Sakhalin. The camp unfolded on a part of the territory of the Vostok training center.
