Sakhalin beat Znamya from Noginsk at the Russian Football Championship

Teams of the second league (division “B”, group 3) “Sakhalin” and “Znamya” (Noginsk) played on November 5 in the 16th round of the Russian football championship. The match ended with a score of 3:2 in favor of the islanders, the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Sakhalin Region reported.

The Sakhalin team won for the first time in three seasons of meetings with Znamya in Noginsk. Sakhalin scored the first goal into the opponents’ goal in the sixth minute of the match, scored by Daniil Bolshunov. “Znamya” responded 10 minutes later – Semyon Matveychuk equalized the score.

At the beginning of the second half, Evgeny Matrakhov from the island team confidently converted a penalty. In the 84th minute, Vitaly Brovchuk scored the second goal against Sakhalin, again leveling the score to 2:2. In the second minute of stoppage time, Evgeniy Matrakhov completed the sharp attack with a toe-shot from the penalty line. Sakhalin snatched a victory with a score of 3:2.

“We have been playing the last games in a fairly organized manner. By the end of the season, the guys felt each other and played well. That’s why we play such meaningful games. We miss unnecessary goals after free throws. We feel good in attack, the goals are coming. We play with the same lineup, we have injuries and illnesses. I am grateful to the guys that they fight to the end. Last round left. We want to please our fans on the island. It’s a pity that the season is ending,” said Sakhalin coach Yuri Drozdov.

Earlier, MK on Sakhalin wrote that the match between Sakhalin and Leon Saturn (Ramenskoye) was held at the Spartak stadium in the regional center on October 29. In the fifteenth round of the Russian football championship among teams of the second league (division “B”, group 3), the teams played a draw.
