Sakhalin all-around athletes made it to the finals of the GTO Games in Vladivostok

In Vladivostok, on Russky Island, the competitions of the 2nd Open Cup of the Far East “GTO Games” are taking place. Following the results of two days of competition, the team of the Sakhalin region managed to take first place in the overall standings, the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports reported.

At these competitions, the island region is represented by two teams of six people – adults and juniors. Currently, senior athletes, including Nikolai Voitekhovich, Irina Khon, Anton Govorukhin, Svetlana Kuzmina, Evgeniy Dorokhov and Alexandra Ponizovich, who showed the best results at the qualifying stage, are competing and testing their skills in various tests of the GTO complex and more.

In the first days, participants competed in such disciplines as swimming, GTO relay, running and a complex of cycling tests. Thanks to their high results, the Sakhalin team managed to take the lead and participate in the Cup finals.

The 2nd Open Cup of the Far East “TRP Games” is taking place as part of the Eastern Economic Forum and will last until September 17. During this time, athletes will determine the best in various categories, such as professionals, amateurs, adults and juniors, in all-around, laser pistol shooting, first aid, phygital all-around, and will also take part in the “Going for a Record” show.
