Sailing races were held in Monchegorsk

On Lake Imandra in Monchegorsk, the championship and championship of the Murmansk region in sailing “Lucha Cup” was held. The strongest yachtsmen were determined within three days – from August 25 to 27.
14 athletes from Murmansk, Monchegorsk and Zapolyarny took part in the competition, the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the region shared. There were nine races in total within the championship.
The championship among men was won by a resident of Murmansk Farid Arslanov, silver and bronze were awarded to the representatives of Monchegorsk – Evgeny Mitrofanov and Alexander Trofimenko.
Alina Vinogradova from Monchegorsk took the first place among women, Melin Palina from Murmansk took the second place.
The purpose of the competition is the development of sailing in the Murmansk region, the preparation of a sports reserve and the identification of the strongest athletes for the formation of national teams in the region.
Formerly MK in Murmansk informedthat the Arctic Cup of Purity was played in Arkhangelsk.
