The Russian Federation and the United States have held face-to-face rounds of talks on irritants in their bilateral relations, but little progress has been made in resolving the issues. This was announced by Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Ryabkov in an interview RTVI.
“Face-to-face contacts occasionally take place, including in third countries. Not long ago, a round of bilateral consultations on the so-called “irritants” in our relations was held at a responsible level,” said the Russian diplomat.
According to him, today the channels of dialogue between Moscow and Washington are reduced to a minimum. Ryabkov emphasized that the initiative came from the United States. He emphasized that the States themselves have blocked opportunities for an in-depth study of current regional issues.
