Russia’s membership in the international organization of firefighters has been suspended

Sergei Voronov, Deputy Director of Supervisory Activities and Preventive Work of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, said that Russia’s membership in the International Association of Fire and Rescue Services was suspended.
Speaking at the session of the International Fire and Rescue Congress, Voronov said that in this regard, Russia is considering the possibility of creating an alternative to this organization within the framework of the SCO and hopes that cooperation with Kazakhstan in the field of fire safety will reach a new level.
The International Association of Fire and Rescue Services was established in 1900 and has 48 member countries and 46 different companies and institutions.
