Russia’s largest Buddhist monastery to be solemnly opened in Tuva

On April 28, the largest Buddhist monastery in Russia, Tubten Shedrub Ling, will be solemnly opened in the capital of the Republic of Tyva.
The temple complex covers an area of 9.3 hectares. The height of the main temple is 56 meters. On the podium is a ten-meter statue of the Buddha. The thickness of the walls is 170 centimeters.
The interior decoration of the temple was made under the guidance of the sculptor Dashi Namdakov.
The monastery will become a place of religious attraction and development of Buddhism throughout the Central Asian region.
