In Russia, disabled people and veterans can get free trips to a sanatorium.
Free treatment at the sanatorium this year is available to various groups of citizens, including disabled people, participants in the Great Patriotic War, combat veterans, disabled children and people affected by radiation after the Chernobyl disaster. The application can be submitted through State Services, the MFC, by mail or in person at the Social Fund, said Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor.
“The right to free sanatorium-resort treatment is available to: disabled people and participants of the Second World War, combat veterans, disabled people, disabled children, persons affected by radiation after the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, as well as as a result of nuclear tests at the Semipalatinsk test site and other categories of citizens,” – Bessarab added.
In addition, people awarded the medals “Resident of besieged Leningrad”, “Resident of besieged Sevastopol” and “Resident of besieged Stalingrad” can receive free treatment at the sanatorium.
Family members of deceased war invalids, participants in the Great Patriotic War and combat veterans, as well as other specified categories of citizens can also go to the sanatorium for free.
