The government of the Voronezh region stated that being late for work due to a missile threat is being late for a good reason. How report “Vesti Voronezh”, the government press center recommended that local employers not punish subordinates in such cases.
Officials noted that if an employee’s rights are infringed in such cases, he should contact the regional Ministry of Labor or the state labor inspectorate, or even the court.
“There is a Labor Code and federal recommendations from the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation,” the press center added, “for employers in the event of a missile threat.”
On Tuesday, March 12, a missile alert in Voronezh was declared around 11:00 local time and was canceled less than 20 minutes later, with the UAV warning remaining. In Belgorod, the missile threat announced in the morning persisted for 13 hours.
