Russians warned about the risk of a sharp rise in olive oil prices

The owner of the export company Kalinina, Elena Kalinina, said that in the near future the price of olive oil imported to Russia may rise significantly.
According to her, the cost of oil could double due to producer prices and a poor olive harvest in Greece. Currently, the cost of olive oil in Russia is lower than in Europe, since the batches were delivered at old prices.
“We have a car waiting for customs clearance in St. Petersburg, they took literally one pallet of oil. The price was very high, and no one will buy oil at the new price,” Kalinina emphasized.
She clarified that purchase prices could rise to 8-8.5 euros per liter of oil. In Russia, olive oil will at least double in price.
