Russians warned about fake mailings on behalf of Roskomnadzor

Roskomnadzor issued a statementthat on behalf of the regulator, residents of Russia receive letters with phishing links and malicious attachments.
According to the source, letters to companies and departments come from the address of the Roskomnadzor department for the Central Federal District with a notification about blocking or about the discovery of prohibited materials on the site. To find out the address of the site that “violated” the law, the addressee is offered to follow the link in the body of the letter.
The RKN clarified that they did not send out any letters, and clarified that the Roskomnadzor department for the Central Federal District has no right to send requests to remove prohibited materials.
Earlier, Russian Telegram users were subjected to the most massive phishing attack in the history of the messenger.
It is known that scammers tried to steal personal user accounts using a phishing mailing list – it contains an offer to get acquainted with a certain list of people who allegedly fall under mobilization on February 1-3.
