Russians prefer Olivier – Kommersant

The Russian Field research group decided to put an end to the eternal dispute by finding out which of the main New Year’s salads is the most popular – Olivier or crab. According to the survey, more than half of respondents choose Olivier. Crab is preferred by almost every fifth person surveyed. Another 16% named other salads. The main favorite by a wide margin is herring under a fur coat (7% of the sample). Others (vinaigrette, mimosa, Caesar, Greek, etc.) scored less than 1% each. 9% do not like both proposed salads.
The survey also showed that Olivier prevails in all age groups. Russians with a family income of 120 thousand rubles. and more significantly more often than others they prefer it for the New Year.
