Russians on New Year’s holidays played games 10% more than usual

During the New Year holidays, Russians devoted more time than usual to video games: on average, the time spent playing games increased by 10%, and for those gamers who use cloud gaming, by 19%. This is stated in the VK Play study, which took into account the period from January 1 to January 11, 2023.
Over 81% of gamers launched only one game per day. If we take cloud services into account, then there gamers could run two (14%) and three (5%) games a day. In the first week in 2023, gamers on VK Play Cloud were able to play games from four to six hours a day (24% more than before the new year), and players could also play from seven to ten hours (up 43%) and even over ten hours (68% more than usual). On VK Play, the most popular games during the New Year holidays were Perfect World (growth by 11%) and Lost Ark (6%), and on the cloud gaming service VK Play Cloud – World of Warships, Perfect World and Skyforge.
