Europe continues to tighten the screws for Russian tourists. Vacationers in Bulgaria shared new problems they faced at the resort.

Evgenia owns real estate in the Bulgarian city of Elenite. The woman described the situations in which the Russians find themselves.

– If in June there were almost no our compatriots here, then in July the people arrived. Basically, these are the owners of real estate or those who have relatives living here, – says Evgenia. – In general, the resort environment is calm. But unpleasant moments can not be avoided. For example, it is not worth going here with rubles. You can’t exchange our money at the normal rate. Most exchange offices do not accept them at all. Some tourists at their own risk use the services of money changers.

It is difficult for real estate owners to issue a bank card. For consideration of the request, they take from 100 to 300 leva (5000-15000 rubles). But there is no guarantee that your account request will be approved.

Moreover, acquaintances said that some banks refused to exchange cash dollars and euros for Russians for local leva. People found a way out of the situation – they turned to their familiar Bulgarians for help, so that they could exchange them.

According to the interlocutor, there are almost no excursions for Russians in Bulgaria.

– Sometimes some trips are thrown away in Russian-language chats – they are expensive and, as a rule, all of them are not very interesting – either you will be taken to the village, or to local churches, or to some farms. If earlier we went on trips from Bulgaria to Greece or Romania, now we can forget about it. No one dares to take Russian tourists so far. But travel agencies have mastered a new direction personally for the Russians. There are organized tours to large grocery cheap supermarkets. The price of the trip is 500 rubles. You are brought to two stores, each one is given an hour of time. Previously, it never occurred to anyone to go to supermarkets, everyone bought goods in the nearest shops. But now prices in Bulgaria have skyrocketed, people have begun to save money. So this service is in demand.
