ATOR: Russian tour operators have not received complaints from Russians in Mauritius regarding cholera

The Association of Tour Operators of Russia said that insurers and tour operators are currently not recording requests from tourists in Mauritius regarding the cholera outbreak. Earlier it became known that cases of illness of unknown etiology, presumably cholera, were recorded on the cruise ship Norwegian Dawn.

ATOR noted that those tour operators who sell tours to Mauritius to Russians reported that they had not received any data from clients regarding the disease. Two major insurers said the same thing.

“The reasons why tourists come to Mauritius now are signs of acute respiratory viral infection and injury,” said one of the insurance companies.
