Russians are optimistic about the future // Infographics

Every second Russian believes that the coming year will be better for the country than the outgoing one, a FOM survey showed. This is a record level of optimism on record. The previous one (47%) was recorded in December 2000. Most often, respondents associate positive expectations with the end of the SVO. At the same time, to all clarifying questions about the situation in the country, the most common answer was “the situation will not change.” In particular, in this way the majority of respondents answered the question about the economic situation (37%), unemployment (45%), crime (39%), social inequality (53%), corruption (50%) and quality of life in the country (45% ). It should be added that with regard to themselves personally, the majority (49%) also expects improvements in the coming year. Only 9% said that it would get worse, while 26% believed that nothing would change.
