Russian Zvonareva and German Siegemund win Citi Open tennis tournament

Russian tennis player Vera Zvonareva and Germany’s Laura Siegemund defeated Alexa Guarachi of Chile and Monica Niculescu of Romania with a score of 6:4, 6:4 in the doubles final of the Citi Open tournament in Washington.
For the 38-year-old Zvonareva, the victory in Washington was the 13th victory at the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) doubles tournaments, for the 35-year-old Siegemund – the 11th.
The Citi Open is a tennis tournament played on hard courts. The doubles prize fund exceeds $780,000.
