Russian tennis player Vera Zvonareva and German Laura Siegemund beat Americans Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula with a score of 3:6, 6:4, 10:8 and reached the semifinals of the final WTA tournament in Cancun, Mexico.
Zvonareva and Siegemund reached the semi-finals following the results of the group stage. After the match with the American tennis players, they took second place in Group A. In the semi-finals, the Russian and German women will meet the winners of Group B – Australian Storm Hunter and Belgian Elise Mertens.
The final tournament is held on a hard surface. Its prize fund is $9 million. Last year the tournament was won by Russian Veronika Kudermetova and Elise Mertens.
