Wrestlers of the Russian Federation were allowed to participate in international competitions subject to the recommendations of the IOC
The Executive Committee of the United World Wrestling (UWW) allowed wrestlers from the Russian Federation and Belarus to participate in competitions, subject to the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee. Georgy Bryusov, director of the sports training center for Russian national teams, announced this on his telegram channel.
It is noted that young wrestlers – athletes of youth teams (U15 and U17) – will not be checked for connection with military organizations. The decision on the participation of teams of such age categories in the competition immediately takes effect.
