Russian woman flew to Thailand and felt like a “homeless” in this country

Russian travel blogger Marina Yershova, who is now traveling in Thailand, has disproved the myths about low food prices in this country. She shared her observations in a personal blog on the platform “Yandex.Zen“.
The author noted that now life abroad is much more expensive for Russians. According to her, if earlier she could afford to buy cheap ready-made food in well-known Thai grocery supermarkets, now she has to make do with the “most budgetary set”.
It included a small portion of rice, a fried egg with gravy for 80 rubles, and fruits on sale – bananas for 60 rubles and two avocados for 60 rubles. The Russians also managed to buy two drinks for 30 and 25 rubles and a chocolate waffle for 20 rubles.
Yershova added that she sees European tourists shopping in Thailand, for whom, she says, local prices are just perfect.
“But we felt like homeless people. We’ll last a month here, but we probably won’t be able to live on a permanent basis,” the blogger complained.
