Russian television journalist Andrei Malakhov presented the Seraphim-Diveevsky Convent with a portrait of Abbess Maria Ushakova. Regional media reported this.
Malakhov himself said that he saw “a portrait of an unknown nun” in the “Auction House” in Moscow. According to the TV presenter, he decided to ask Mother Sergius who was depicted in the portrait. To which she replied that “Diveyevo, ours.”
“I included myself in this auction and bought this portrait at the auction,” said the TV journalist.
