Russian troops tested an intercontinental ballistic missile

The Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN) of Russia have tested an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). The launch took place from the Kapustin Yar test site in the Astrakhan region. This was reported in the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.
“On April 11, 2023, a combat crew of the Strategic Missile Forces successfully launched an intercontinental ballistic missile of a mobile ground-based missile system from the Kapustin Yar State Central Interspecific Range in the Astrakhan Region,” the ministry said (quoted from TASS).
A training warhead of an ICBM hit a target at the Sary-Nagan training ground in Kazakhstan. The tasks of the test were completed in full, the Ministry of Defense added. As explained in the department, the launch made it possible to confirm the “correctness of the circuit design and technical solutions” used in the development of new strategic complexes.
