The Instrument Design Bureau (KBP) of the High Precision Complexes holding (part of Rostec) has modernized the Krasnopol guided artillery projectile. Its characteristics have been improved, and it is already being supplied to the troops.
“Currently, we (KBP) are already manufacturing and supplying the customer with modernized guided artillery shells,” High Precision Complexes told TASS. They added that the characteristics are not disclosed for security reasons.
The Krasnopol-M high-precision correctable artillery system with a collibre of 155 mm is a modification of the Krasnopol. In July 2022, Kalashnikov reported that the product received an increased firing range, as well as increased firing efficiency in cloudy and windy conditions. The projectile used can engage up to three targets at the same time.
