Russian Textile Week opens at Expocentre

The Russian Textile Week, the largest congress and exhibition event in Russia dedicated to the textile and light industry, has opened at the Moscow Expocentre.

Its basis is the ongoing international industry exhibitions and business program. Organizers of the Week: Expocentre JSC in partnership with the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of the Textile and Light Industry (Soyuzlegprom), with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

These days, the Expocentre has again become a long-awaited platform for the meeting of manufacturers and suppliers of Russian and world brands of equipment and materials. The project participants will once again negotiate with new customers and suppliers, expand the geography of sales and conclude new contracts, get acquainted with the latest market developments and find new partners. As part of the Russian Textile Week 2023, in addition to the Inlegmash exhibition, the Inlegmash international industrial conference, the Intertkan international exhibition of fabrics and textile materials, and the Legpromforum international light industry forum will be held simultaneously.

This year, more than 100 companies in an area of ​​2000 sq. m will present equipment and modern industry solutions from 10 countries: Austria, Germany, India, Spain, Italy, Republic of Korea, China, Latvia, Turkey. Russian equipment will be presented at the exhibition by 55 companies.

At the opening of the event, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation S. N. Katyrin warmly welcomed the audience and noted: “The textile and light industry of Russia continues to develop dynamically. This is facilitated by the growing needs of the domestic market, increasing government orders and a consistent budgetary policy of supporting the industry by the state. The Russian Textile Week 2023 and the Inlegmash-2023 exhibition contribute to solving the problems of modernizing and expanding the production base of the domestic textile and light industry, demonstrating advanced products, modern equipment, and innovative technological developments. The projects of the Russian Textile Week provide an integrated approach based on combining the efforts of business, industry associations, relevant ministries and departments, as well as a system for training qualified labor personnel for the industry.”

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation O. E. Bocharov said: “In the current economic realities that have changed a number of processes in the light industry, participation in the exhibition creates a unique opportunity for specialists and end users to get acquainted with new trends, technological developments and innovations, design solutions, current proposals for import substitution. Today, Russian light industry enterprises occupy the niches vacated after the departure of foreign companies and are making more and more efforts to produce competitive products. I am sure that the conferences, round tables and seminars held as part of the business program will continue the tradition of constructive interaction between entrepreneurs, specialists from the industry community and representatives of government authorities to stimulate the solution of the most important issues in the development of the industry.”

By tradition, the Inlegmash exhibition is part of the largest industry-wide congress and exhibition event “Russian Textile Week”. It will be based on the ongoing international industry exhibitions and business program.

Since 1970, the exhibition has been bringing together manufacturers, suppliers and consumers of light industry equipment and products. The trend of the exhibition in 2023 is technical textiles, one of the strategically important areas for the development of textile materials, it is widely used in almost all industries. In support of this direction, a special exposition has been organized: the foreign trade company Textilmash presented a prototype of a new pneumatic weaving machine, the large-scale production of which will begin at the end of this year. These are the first pneumatic looms designed and manufactured in Russia with technical characteristics at the level of the leaders of the world textile machine tool industry. At the IV International Scientific and Practical Symposium “Technical Textiles of Russia: Nonwovens, Raw Materials, Reengineering”, the focus will be on the competitiveness of domestic technical textiles and nonwovens; Russian innovative developments in the production of technical textiles and nonwovens; about whether Russian textiles can survive without imported raw materials.

The latest Russian development, the smart digital sewing factory, an advanced network sewing process control system, attracted a lot of attention. The specialists were also interested in the full cycle of digital textile production – from printing and thermal transfer to cutting. The exhibition also presented the Russian premiere of the latest industrial textile printers for sublimation printing. The “small but remote” flatbed printer for printing on T-shirts did not go unnoticed. The high print speed of 52 seconds per t-shirt allows the printer to be used for both individual orders and small-scale production, and it can also use alternative inks, which significantly reduces the cost of printing.

We are peaceful people, but you need to be prepared for anything. As part of strengthening the defense capability of the Russian State University. A. N. Kosygina presented an exposition where visitors can get acquainted with the installation for testing armored packages in dynamic conditions, a virtual fitting room, and a device for evaluating abrasion of surfaces.

Exhibition “Interfabric” is the largest specialized exhibition of fabrics, textile materials, accessories and components in the territory of the Russian Federation and the CIS countries. Today, the exhibition has gained a reputation as a reliable partner and has reached the international level. Among its regular visitors are managers and owners of large textile, knitwear and clothing industries and author’s ateliers, leading Russian designers and other professionals in the light industry and the fashion industry. Fabrics are not only a material for sewing trousers and dresses, the exhibition presents a whole variety of fabrics for life: yarn and threads, knitwear, accessories and finishing materials, textile raw materials, dyes, non-woven fabrics, medical and sports textiles, interior fabrics and much more .

The experience of existence and work in different socio-economic conditions, ups, downs and pauses allowed the Russian Textile Week to maintain its authority and maintain its position as an effective platform for demonstrating promising solutions in the light industry, this was very well expressed by the President of the Russian Union of Textile and Light Industry Entrepreneurs Andrey Razbrodin: “Our industry is one of the most adaptive in the country, so it has always responded flexibly to any changes. Despite the difficult periods of recent years, it has survived and has a very good basis and opportunities for development today. This is well demonstrated by the Inlegmash exhibition: from year to year, manufacturers and suppliers present a wide range of modern equipment, materials, innovative solutions and new samples of technical textiles. The business program of the exhibition provides for an intensive exchange of information, acquaintance with modern trends and understanding of the accumulated practical experience. I am sure that only by joint efforts to stabilize the work of the industry, we are able to ensure the further development and creation of a modern competitive domestic textile industry. We are convinced that no crisis can prevent us from moving forward, developing production, enabling people to be beautiful, feel comfortable and be proud of their country.”
