Russian tennis player Alina Korneeva won the ITF junior final tournament

16-year-old Russian tennis player Alina Korneeva won the final junior tournament of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), held in the Chinese city of Chengdu. She became the second Russian woman in history to win this tournament.
In the final match of the tournament, which lasted an hour and a half, the Russian woman defeated Japanese tennis player Sara Saito. The match ended in two games with a score of 6:0, 6:3 in favor of Korneeva.
Before Korneeva, only one Russian woman became the winner of the final ITF junior tennis tournament: in 2016, Anna Blinkova won the title.
Alina Korneeva is currently ranked 165th in the ranking of professional tennis players according to the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). This season, she became the champion of two junior Grand Slam tournaments: the French Roland Garros and the Australian Open. In addition, Korneeva won two tournaments held within the ITF.
