Russian swimmer breaks junior world record

Russian swimmer Lifintsev broke the junior world record

17-year-old Russian Miron Lifintsev set a world record among juniors in the 100-meter backstroke at the Russian Swimming Championships. He covered the distance in 52.34 seconds.

The previous record, 52.53, was set in 2018 by another Russian swimmer, Kliment Kolesnikov.

Kolesnikov took part in the competition and took second place, covering the distance in 52.8 seconds. Dmitry Savenko came third (52.9 seconds).
