In the Zaporozhye direction, Pavel Ivanov, senior warrant officer of the Vostok group of troops, saved a Russian convoy with ammunition from a mortar attack from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is specified that the enemy drone, which corrected the fire, was destroyed from small arms.
“Thanks to the quick and very competent decisions of senior warrant officer Ivanov, Russian equipment was not damaged. The personnel also survived and continued to carry out their combat missions,” said Oleg Chekhov, head of the press center of the Vostok group.
He noted that a convoy of vehicles from a support platoon was subjected to mortar fire at one of the sections of the Zaporozhye direction. The correction of the fire was carried out by a drone. As a result, the servicemen of the Russian platoon shot down the UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from small arms. The enemy, having lost the opportunity to adjust the fire, stopped firing.
