Russian schoolchildren received five gold medals at the International Physics Olympiad in Japan

At the 53rd International School Physics Olympiad in Tokyo, participants from Russia received five gold medals. The competition is held among secondary school students, schoolchildren from more than 80 countries took part in it, said press office Ministry of Education of Russia.
The International Physics Olympiad (IPhO – International Physics Olympiad) is an annual international competition in physics among high school students from different countries. It has been running since 1967. The Olympiad consists of two rounds: the solution of theoretical problems and laboratory work.
Gold medals were awarded to: Vyacheslav Bobkov (student of school No. 1589 in Moscow), Roman Burtsev Vsevolod Dolya, Alexander Ershov (all three students of the P.L. Kapitsa Phystech Lyceum, Dolgoprudny), Egor Potapov (Secondary School Moscow).
Russian schoolchildren have won gold medals at the International Physics Olympiad for the fourth year in a row. In 2022 Olympiad took place in a remote format and was organized by Switzerland.
