Municipal authorities will be prohibited from turning off hot water during maintenance work for more than 14 days. The corresponding draft document was prepared by Rospotrebnadzor. This was reported “News” with a link to the document.
Rospotrebnadozor reminded the publication that the municipalities independently set the deadlines for repair work. The fact that they should not exceed two weeks is only a recommendation, the department noted.
Rospotrebnadozor explained that the requirements will be fixed taking into account numerous appeals from citizens and organizations. The maximum terms will be included in the provision “Sanitary and epidemiological requirements for the maintenance of the territories of urban and rural settlements …”, Izvestia writes.
For violation of the deadlines, thermal companies will face administrative penalties under Art. 6.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of legislation in the field of ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population). The maximum penalty under this article is suspension of work for up to 90 days.
