The Federal Passenger Company (a subsidiary of Russian Railways) has strengthened security measures on long-distance trains in connection with the terrorist attack in the Moscow region. Train crew employees undergo additional safety training.

“Strengthened control has been introduced when checking the data of passengers upon boarding, as well as during the admission of mourners into the carriages. Additional checks of rolling stock are carried out before departure and upon arrival of trains, as well as during the trip,”— reported FPK.

Passengers are informed about safety precautions via loudspeaker communication. Previously, security measures were strengthened at train stations and stations, in crowded places.
