Since February 1, Russian Post has limited ground delivery of parcels to 24 European countries. Cargo transportation to these countries is carried out only by air, indicated on website postal operator. The temporary restrictions were adopted due to “bureaucratic difficulties,” the company said.
The current restrictions on postal exchange indicate that Russian Post delivers parcels exclusively by air to 24 European countries. The list of countries includes: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden and Estonia.
A company representative reminded TASS that traditionally, air delivery times are shorter than land deliveries. “Ground delivery of shipments to Europe will resume in the next two months. The temporary change in the delivery method is due to bureaucratic difficulties in processing land cross-border transportation in the European direction,” the company explained.
