Russian MMA fighter Sergey Pavlovich defeated American Curtis Blaydes in the main UFC tournament in Las Vegas. The fight ended already in the first round – by technical knockout. Moreover, the Russian became the owner of a unique achievement. This is the sixth fight in a row in which the heavyweight knocks out his opponents in the first round.
Before the fight, the 30-year-old from Rostov modestly assessed the chances of knocking Bledys down in the first round. He drew attention to the fact that a victory would bring closer the title fight, which the opponent also craved. Nevertheless, everything worked out. Pavlovich has already won the 18th victory in the UFC with one defeat.
After the current triumph, Pavlovich made an imaginary belt with gestures, thereby hinting at a fight for the title of champion in his weight category.
At the same time, the defeat for the 32-year-old American Blades was already the fourth with 17 victories.
