An officer of a unit of the Russian Armed Forces with the call sign “Khokhol” said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine behaved much harsher towards civilians during the battles for Artemivsk than during the actions in Mariupol.
He clarified that he took part in the siege of the Azovstal plant and urban battles in Mariupol.
“Ukrainian fighters hide behind civilians, drive them to one place, for example, some kind of basement, and then throw grenades into it,” the Russian fighter said.
The military added that such actions by the enemy seriously impede the advancement of Russian attack aircraft, since they cannot fire at the locations of civilians.
“At the moment, there is more violence and impunity from Ukrainian militants. For the most part, they understand that they will not be able to hold the territory and, leaving, they destroy everything around, ”Khokhol noted.
