Russian observatories have recorded a large asteroid approaching the Earth

In Russia, two observatories have discovered a new asteroid 2022 SE37. This happened on the night of October 1st.
As stated in the Telegram channel of the Institute of Applied Mathematics. M.V. Keldysh (IPM) RAS, the diameter of the asteroid is half a kilometer. It revolves around the Sun in an elongated orbit with a period of 3.44 years.
However, in the foreseeable future, the celestial body does not pose a danger to the Earth.
Previously The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration released video recording of a “controlled” collision of an American probe with an asteroid. The recording shows the moment of the collision of the American DART probe with the large asteroid Dimorph. NASA said that this collision was carried out in order to change the trajectory of the asteroid and test the Earth’s defense system against dangerous space objects.
