Sochi will become the venue for the training camp of the Russian national team in classic rugby. The country’s men’s team will gather at the Yug Sport base from February 13 to 20. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Rugby Federation.
The head coach of the national team Alexander Pervukhin named an extended list of 48 candidates. Only 34-35 rugby players will come to the Olympic capital for the training camp. The players from Krasnoyarsk “Yenisei-STM” received the greatest representation.
Last November in Sochi took place the second round of the Russian rugby-7 championship, where the Krasnodar club “Bogatyri” took fifth place. Most likely, it is on the Black Sea coast that the Russian G7 Championship will continue in the spring of 2023.
