The Russian Ministry of Health has registered a vaccine against COVID-19 for children aged 6-11
The Ministry of Health of Russia has registered a vaccine against coronavirus in children from 6 to 11 years old – it was developed at the Gamaleya Center.
“Gam-COVID-Vak-D combined vector vaccine for the prevention of coronavirus infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus,” follows from the data of the state register of medicines. Date of state registration April 14, 2023.
This vaccine, as indicated in the instructions, is indicated for children from 6 to 11 years old inclusive. The drug is administered intramuscularly twice and with a three-week interval.
At the end of January, it was reported that the Gamaleya Center applied for registration in the Russian Federation of a vaccine against coronavirus, intended for children from 6 to 11 years old.
