Russian journalist Aslamova released in Kosovo

KP journalist Daria Aslamova, previously detained in Kosovo on suspicion of espionage, has been released from custody. She announced this herself, having contacted the editors.

Aslamova added that she is now in the town of Raska on the Serbian-Kosovo border.

The Kosovo Interior Ministry earlier said that Aslamova was detained on Sunday night at a border crossing in the north of the region. According to local authorities, the Russian woman was engaged in espionage under the guise of an editorial assignment. The journalist herself said that after the arrest she was told that they could exchange her “for Americans or extradite her to Ukraine.”
